Cheng Yi is a Chinese actor and singer who was born in Hunan Province. While still in college, he made his broadcast debut in 2011 in the Chinese television series “Beauty World.” Cheng Yi graduated from the Central Academy of Drama the next year, in 2012, and made his film debut in “Haunting Love.”

Love and redemption is a Historical Chinese drama with 59 episodes adapted from the novel “The Great Maiden” which also has its sequel as love and redemption 2. The male lead of love and redemption is Cheng Yi as Yu Si Feng and the female lead is Crystal Yuan as Chu Xuan.

The story starts when the souls of the Star of Mosha and the God of War have been sent to the mortal realm to perform penance a thousand years after the conflict between the demons and the heavens. Chu Xuan Ji, the Shaoyang Sect Leader’s daughter, is robbed of her six senses in the mortal realm. She meets Yu Si Feng, a talented student of Lize Palace who was born on the same day as her, at a competition, and the two become friends.
