Summary of My Secret Romance

My Secret Romance is a comedic- romantic Korean drama also searched as Frustrating Romance, You Drive me Crazy with 13 episodes available subbed in English and other languages free on APPLE TV and K-DRAMA and with a subscription on Netflix and Viki too.

It starred Sung Hoon as Cha Jin-Wook who was a prickly second-generation chaebol and director of a company owned by his dad. He was playful and loved partying. After Yoo-mi disappeared from his sight, he turned into a hard-working and serious man while taking good care of his father’s company and our gorgeous female lead Song Ji-Eun as Lee Yoo-mi who was a nutritionist who feels insecure about other people’s opinions and is also scared to wear revealing clothes due to her mother’s controversial reputation on society.

Jin-Wook and Yoo-mi meet at a Gangwon-do resort and become entangled in a sequence of misunderstandings and mishaps. Yoo-mi is in town to attend her mother’s second wedding, while Jin-Wook works as a bellhop (a position given to him by his Chairman father to teach him responsibility). Yoo-mi is captivated by Jin-sneaky wook’s humorous demeanor, and they spend the night together unexpectedly. Yoo-mi, on the other hand, vanishes in the morning, leaving Jin-look bewildered and angered.

Three years later, the two cross paths again when Yoo-mi begins working as a dietician in the company cafeteria where Jin-wook works. Jin-Wook, who was previously a playboy, appears to have given up his carefree life and now works at his father’s firm. He has affections for Yoo-mi and has preserved her bra-pad as a memento of their night together. He is initially severe toward her, but this is simply because he is seeking reasons to be near her. Later, he admits this to her and offers to wait for her.

Yoo-mother mi’s had a second child, Dong-goo, who is now three years old, during the three years. Jin-father, wook’s Chairman, misidentifies Dong-goo as Yoo-kid mi’s rather than his half-brother. Jin-Wook is told by the Chairman, who chastises him for having a child out of wedlock with a nutritionist. After learning this, Jin-Wook feels he has mistreated Yoo-mi and begins to warm up to her, appearing to embrace Dong-goo as his son. The misunderstanding is finally resolved, but Yoo-mi becomes enraged with Jin-Wook, accusing him of staying with her just to have a child with her. Then there’s Joo Hye-Ri (Jung Da-sol), a gorgeous girl who is judged a “fit” wife for Jin-Wook. Jung Hyun-Tae (Kim Jae-young), Yoo-writer mi’s buddy, is shown to have a secret infatuation with her.

The whole drama centered on the main characters’ moms, Cha Jin-Wook and Lee Yoo-mi ultimately manage to maintain their love while also settling their issues with their parents. The drama concludes with Hye-Ri “Traveling together” with Hyun-Tae, Yoo-mi, and Jin-Wook attending Yoo-re-wedding, mi’s mother’s and Jin-Wook saying “Today is D-day.” Do you realize how long I’ve been looking forward to this day?” Yoo-mi said, “Me too.”
